EPISODE 1: Taking Back Sunday

Ingredients: 

  • 2 oz rye

  • ¾ oz sweet vermouth

  • ¼ oz allspice dram

  • 2 dashes cardamom bitters 

  • Luxardo cherry garnish 

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing glass, add two dashes bitters, sweet vermouth, allspice dram and rye

  2. Add ice and stir 

  3. Serve in a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a luxardo cherry

Makes 1 serving

Brute without the E

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz white rum

  • 1.5 oz lime juice

  • ½ oz champagne simple syrup (1:1 champagne and sugar) 

  • 8 mint leaves

  • Club soda 

  • NA Version – Make without rum + add additional club soda 

Instructions: 

  1. Add mint leaves, champagne simple syrup (see notes) and lime juice to a cocktail shaker

  2. Muddle mint gently to express oils

  3. Add Rum and Ice, shake 

  4. Pour to a highball glass, top with soda

  5. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig 

NOTE: For Champagne Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup leftover brut champagne 

  • 1 cup white sugar 

  • Cook over low heat until all sugar dissolves.

  • Let cool before using in cocktails
